Thousands of tenants across Los Angeles are organized through tenant associations in our buildings, Union Council, and neighborhood-based local chapters. Since 2023, we’ve stood together against harassment, fought for long-overdue repairs, stopped evictions, staged protests, and successfully led rent strikes citywide.

We Are Member-Funded and Member-Led
Our work is powered by our members—we have no paid staff. Membership dues cover essential costs, including meeting space rentals, event hosting, and supplies like interpretation equipment. Below, you’ll find membership packages designed to fit various budgets.

We suggest $50 per year, but any contribution—big or small—makes a difference.

We provide all Tenants with the tools needed to deal with issues that may arise with their Landlords or Management Companies.  Many Tenants are afraid to complain to these entities for fear of being evicted or having their rent raised for no reason. We provide the proper forms and format in which to address all issues with regard to habitability, neighborhood nuisances, along with all aspects of your rental agreement educating you on what each clause means and how it affects your tenancy.

 

Our office will follow through with you from start to finish to make sure each issue is resolved and if needed, a referral can be made for Free Legal Advice with a local Attorney.

 

This service is offered and included with your yearly Membership that is only

$25.00 per year paid via a bank account, debit card or credit card.

And with every new membership, you will receive a FREE APARTMENT INSPECTION from an Experienced Property Manager who will document all your issues and address them anonymously with your Landlord or Management Company.  And in severe violations, we will even contact local Housing Authorities to address the issues that they can force the Landlord or Management Company to repair.
